>> Welcome To The Oxon Helicopter Collective Website.

Oxon Helicopter Collective is made up of a group of people with a common interest in model helicopter construction and flying. We currently have 32 members with varying skill levels from novice hovering up to 3D flying and all kinds of helicopters from small electrics to large 90 size nitros.

Our flying site is situated at Collins Farm near Abingdon in Frilford Oxfordshire, the site  offers excellent parking and flying facilities. Visitors and new members are welcome to fly as a guest of another member or just spectate, our members are also on hand to provide impartial advice to help new flyers through the basics of getting you in the air.

We hold monthly meetings at 8.00pm each 3rd Thursday of the month at The Pack Horse pub which is between Steventon and Rowstock. During the months of May to September the club meeting starts at 9.00pm instead which allows better use of daylight for a bit of flying before the meeting starts. Should you wish to come and fly with us or just have a beer with us at our next meeting please drop us a line.

The club constitution document was drafted at the club meeting of January 2005 and was unanimously approved at the club meeting of February 2005. It is now in effect and can be downloaded by clicking here (187K).  You may also download the latest (2007) version of the BMFA handbook (526K), dated November 2006, and a copy of CAA document CAP658 (205K).

As a member of Oxon Helicopter Collective you not only gain full access to the flying field but you will also receive club discounts and group buys offering you savings on common flying components, for more information on how to join us please visit the "Contact Us" page.
