Special Member Announcment

To All Members.

Please take note of the following.

In the last few days David Warr has been in conversation with Murray, the Landowner of our flying field, and it has come to light that he is coming under increasing pressure from the local residents adjacent to the farm regarding the noise we make.

The Committee has discussed the issues and have spoken with Murray to come up with a set of new rules to try to keep the peace.

As such here follows some new rules that must apply to all members:

1.    With immediate effect the Committee of Oxon Helicopter Collective must ask All Members with Nitro heli's to only take off and land from the West End flying patch (normally considered the hovering patch) This will now be considered the main flying patch.

It has been decided that electrics may still be flown from the old main patch as they generally create less noise.

2.    All nitro power models MAY NOT be flown after 7pm on any day.

Electric powered helicopters and quiet electric airplanes may still be flown after this time. The committee will try negotiate later flying on certain days but that will be something to discuss more fully at the next club meeting.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact one of the Committee members.

Thank you for your taking the time to read this and please pass the message along to anyone who may not be aware.

Regards

Steve Watson.

OxonHelicollective Chairman.
